Course Introduction

This course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to identify, prevent, and respond to Bullying, Harassment, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and HIV/AIDS-related issues in the workplace. It provides a comprehensive understanding of these topics, from definitions and legal frameworks to practical steps for creating a safe and respectful work environment. After completing the course, participants will be able to define and understand Bullying in the workplace, recognize its different types, and explain the importance of Anti-Bullying policies. They will also understand Gender-Based Violence, its various forms, and current legislation. In addition, participants will gain knowledge on HIV and AIDS, including how HIV is transmitted, treated, and progresses to AIDS, as well as workplace implications and legal considerations. The course will also enable learners to define workplace harassment, identify its different types, and apply effective prevention and management strategies, while understanding why taking action is critical when harassment occurs.
